Family Trip Wheel Game
This AR game previews potential trip issues, helping families prepare. It includes a wheel board, 5 game cards per player, and uses phones to start. The trip is split into three phases, each with unique challenges. Players make decisions within a time limit, and the host evaluates their choices in real-time. Points are scored based on card combinations, and at the end, the host provides a total score along with feedback and tips.
Inspiration
Vacationing with senior parents is becoming increasingly popular. The primary obstacle to seeing them is often distance, followed by busy schedules. Traveling together offers an opportunity to overcome these barriers and spend quality time with senior parents.

Background research data

Insight
Rapid economic development has created generational gaps in culture and values between parents and children, leading to disagreements in travel planning. Unlike trips with young children, vacations with adult children are not parent-dominated, increasing the potential for conflicts as children become more independent.

Conclusion
After interviewing various individuals about their family travel experiences, I observed that almost everyone encounters some level of conflict. Some have suggested the need for a tool or method to help prevent these conflicts in advance.

Market research
Research on the travel market revealed potential conflicts between adult children and their senior parents during joint trips. I explored existing solutions designed to enhance their travel experience.

The set includes 5 solution cards per player, a host card to initiate the game, and a wheel board that senses the weight of the cards to tally points. AR technology enhances the experience by guiding gameplay, while weight-sensing technology tracks card usage and scores. I also designed interfaces to showcase how each stage of the game unfolds.
